Fennec: Option to export bookmark and history local?

Hi,

it seems it has not a built-in export option to do that locally, right?
How export can be solved in another way? (as Firefox Sync. uses third party cloud, right? I don’t like to share my bookmarks in a cloud…)

Thank you.

host your own Sync server :person_shrugging:

use another app for bookmarks F-Droid Search: bookmark

Found that note about sync via a local file

floccus bookmark sync

Sync your bookmarks and tabs across browsers via Nextcloud, any WebDAV service, any Git service, via a local file, via Google Drive.
floccus – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)

But via local file is not mentioned in the floccus app?
“…synchronize your bookmarks via Nextcloud, or any WebDAV service, or any Git service, or Google Drive, end-to-end encrypted, if you want.”

Does it need absolutely an “server” WebDAV, Nextcloud…?

Thank you

Hi Licaon_Kter,
thanks. As you were faster with your posting…
Doy you know about the option via local file, my posting above?

there’s no local file option in Firefox, more so it does not even allow you to open local HTML files :frowning: (but Chrome does, why Mozilla???)

for local file test the other apps that l linked

I do open my html bookmark files via LibreWolf (on PC). Will try to do on Android tomorrow with Fennec or similar.

Via local iirr was there but no longer can I see too. I use it for syncing between my server and my devices via webdav now.
