I see there’s a 1.0 release on the F-Droid downloads page. It can’t install over the existing alpha releases, though, and the UI looks like a pre 0.103 build. Is this a real 1.0 release, or was there a mistake?
Are you sure you followed this link: https://f-droid.org/repo/org.fdroid.fdroid_1000010.apk and not the big blue button: https://f-droid.org/FDroid.apk ?
It’s still kind of in beta test. I guess there weill be 1.0.1 or something like this before the default download version will be switched to it.
That’s a good idea, because the blue button still serves the old UI until we are really sure 1.0 is stable. See the current version in the metadata file.
Ah, my mistake, I assumed that the link at the top was for the latest version listed on the page, not an older version.
Are there any changes in this since the last Alpha release?
Yeah, a critical bug causing the app to crash was fixed. With GitLab you can get a beautiful difference between versions.
