Does f-droid offer a Log?

i’m using huawei p20 pro (huawei? NEVER AGAIN!) and there is a calendar app called huawei calendar preinstalled which is a desaster. on specific words you want to search in all dates, the app crashes. you only have a limited amount of symbols and letters you can type on the app for every date (well at least if you open the date and scroll down you see an area with ENDLESS space for symbols and letters but i just need ONE area). the app seems buggy but that’s the way of how chinese apps are translated for the western world.

later i have discovered Etar Etar - OpenSource Kalender | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository which i have installed from f-droid (except VLC i try to download every android app primarily from f-droid for reasons) which is absolutely great and can also import google calendar dates. only one thing doesn’t work: integrating ics-links of dates (i don’t know how to describe it but i think everyone knows it).

i used every few weeks the huawei calendar to import every date from the ics-link and at least this works including scrolling the editable data of the dates very ergonomical.

then i saw a discussion of how bad etar deals with ics-links and someone has mentiones icsx5.

icsx5 does it job perfectly. sometimes i had to refresh manually. then i configured the battery management so that iscx5 does everything automatically. usually it didn’ stuck ever again at syncinc. from there it showed the current day and 10 am that syncinc went successfully, i think because i configured it (battery management) one day at 10 am.

i updates icsx5 this week with f-droid and i hoped that icsx5 would somehow restart on it’s own and continue with the syncinc. this is the problem why i need a Log. i want to see when exactly i had installed the update to icsx5. because when i opened icsx5 it showed 14th august 2025 10 am for a very short time and then 15th august 1:54 pm meaning the 10 am syncing had been skipped. i will of course control the syncinc times now each day before and after 1:54 pm but i am not sure when i installed the updates of icsx5. was it 14th august in the afternoon? if so then the 10 am syncing had been skipped at the next day. was it 13th august? if so why did the syncing work on 10 am on 14th august but not on 15th august.

i need to know that if i have to start icsx5 after every update to enable syncing or not.

i also have to wait for every new update and i will note when the update had been installed, then wait at least 2 days and open icsx5 to see if some syncing task had been skipped.

so does f-droid offer a Log of when and which app had been updated?

i wish etar would implement icsx5 so i don’t need the app anymore.

thank you. would you please show me a screenshot of an example? maybe yours?

will the time also be shown?

What’s stopping you to test?

Get rid of that sh.t. Try Fossify Calendar.

How is Etar sh.t? I have been using it flawlessly.

I meant Huawei calendar mentioned by the author in first sentence.

Ahh. My bad then.
