Can Automation handle those tasks?

Hello,

Before I install and try it out, can someone tell me if Automation can perform those two tasks:

  1. Shortcut to enable/disable USB tethering by opening Settings and finding that sub-item
  2. Silently and automatically send calls from unknown contacts directly to voicemail so I’m no longer bother by robocalls and scammers
    ?

What about screen brightness state depending on WiFi range? Anyone tried successfully? Didn’t work for me.
I’d like simple thing: manual brightness 50% when at home and auto brightness when out of range home WiFi.

I do not myself use any such thing, but you can always ask the developer over on their git.

Finally found it, thx to Easer, that is outdated but gave me this information: you have to explicitly allow Automation (which didn’t ask permission) to modify system settings. That option is in applications with special access on Android 12 and 13.
Aaand, which may not be good, Automation needs the constant access to location and running in background too.
Then the state of brightness may be set automatically depending on WiFi connection, but that system settings may apply to other rules too. :slight_smile:
I will test it following days.

I hope that info helps someone, and there will be no necessary to use paid, tracking or heavy apps from Google store just for simple automation tasks.
