This is currently an issue with open mensa: https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/de.uni_potsdam.hpi.openmensa/lastbuild_22 - a new app version was detected, one build failed (it looks like it was a problem at the build infrastructure) and now the new version is not available

Is there a way to request a new build attempt/ does that happen automatically?

The build server will retry automatically.
