There are two apps in the store with the common name “Bluetooth Remote”, namely io.github.jqssun.btremote and com.atharok.btremote. Naturally, they seem to offer similar features, and they even have a similar icon though not the same. Are they related, for example is one of them a fork of the other? In any case, may it be beneficial to have one of them rename itself? TBH I’m surprised this is even allowed to happen.
From its github. This is a fork of
It is built on top of the original BT Remote designed for Android TV but instead made to work with macOS, iOS (+ iPadOS), Windows, Android, ChromeOS, Linux (+ SteamOS) as well as all other platforms that support Bluetooth input devices.
Hmm, I have used the “original” one so far and it works great as a BT touchpad on Linux, so I don’t quite get the “other platforms” piece. But thanks for pointing out the lineage.
