The Aurora Store on the Pixel 8 Pro doesn`t show show any apps. I then tried to see the apps via searching for it in the browser and then having it open directly in the Aurora Store. That worked. When I tried to install it, it gives the error:
Javax.net.ssl. SSL Handshake exception: Read error: ssl=”code”: Failure in SSL library, usually a protocol error
error:”code”:SSL

If you get a Google’s 404 page saying “The requested URL / was not found on this server” it means that they do work as intended, you’d get other kinds of errors otherwise.
Anyhow, it could also be because of the DNS you’re using, try changing to e.g. Cloudflare, better with DoH or DoT (one.one.one.one).
I don’t know anything about Pixel 8 pro, but… ¿what if you try an “archaic” version of the Aurora Store?
I stopped “updating” the Aurora Store and my problems were over. I can use VPN. I can use Proxy. I can use Ad Blockers. I can use DNS services. I can use Firewalls. On Android devices with and without rooting.
I can confirm. With an older version everything was OK, now I need to download 10 times same app untill it installs with versions 4.7.4, 4. 7.5 and 4.8.0.
