Aurora Store Doesn`t Show Apps

The Aurora Store on the Pixel 8 Pro doesn`t show show any apps. I then tried to see the apps via searching for it in the browser and then having it open directly in the Aurora Store. That worked. When I tried to install it, it gives the error:

Have asked @whyorean to check.

BTW: is it a new device?

Hi, do you use some security product / adblocker that does SSL interception, such as AdGuard?

I saw you mentioning Wireguard in other threads, you’re using Aurora with it? You’ve tried with it disabled?

Did you set some proxy in Aurora Store itself?

You’re maybe able to check if the Play Store does work?

Is that version 4.7.4 or did you install beta 4.7.5?

It is a new device I am setting up.

It is 4.7.4

I thought that might be a problem so I tried with all ad blockers disabled and that still didn’t work. There was no proxy used.

I use both DNS and VPN. This error seems to be a specific one during SSL connection or something.

What about the VPN, and trying with the Play Store?

From your browser, are you able to access https://play.google.com , https://play-lh.googleusercontent.com , https://android.clients.google.com , https://rr1---sn-hpa7znzy.gvt1.com and https://play.googleapis.com ?

If you get a Google’s 404 page saying “The requested URL / was not found on this server” it means that they do work as intended, you’d get other kinds of errors otherwise.

Anyhow, it could also be because of the DNS you’re using, try changing to e.g. Cloudflare, better with DoH or DoT (one.one.one.one).

Have you tried using a different connection, too?

I can access the Google pages just fine. I also went through different DNSes. I tried with a VPN and no VPN. Ad blocking off for both.

I have not asked @whyorean .

Ok, but you didn’t tell me yet if you tried using the Play Store

Some other questions:

  1. You’re using a mobile connection? Did you try with a different one?
  2. Could you say in which country you are?
  3. Were you ever able to use Aurora Store (with previous phones)?
  4. You’re using the stock Pixel’s operating system, not any custom rom?
  5. You’d be able to collect logs, with adb?
  6. Anyhow, it honestly seems most likely that some of those ad blockers are still enabled; which were you using?

By the way, it would have probably been more appropriate to ask on Aurora Store’s GitLab or Telegram group

Coming in from a non US IP address seemed to fix it. For some reason, the Aurora store was not allowing both VPN and non VPN connections from the US.
