The apps I download don’t show on the desktop of my Android tablet. I’ve tried downloading them again, but it makes no difference.

That’s usually a feature of your launcher (desktop app how you’d call it)
Don’t apps appear in the “all apps” section?

Really? Do they show anywhere? App list?
