App with a heavy encryption like EDS lite

Eds Lite EDS Lite | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository unfortunately is out of date, but it still most strong app with a strong encryption for file and there no more apps like this?
Maybe this Secret Space Encryptor (SSE) | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository ?

What about cryptomator?

Not free… Lol

What is not free?

See difference between full vs lite Sovworks | EDS

Another alternative:

Cryptomator, read the description

He is Open Source and GPL 3 licensed. Or you mean the unfree Code for the Connection with M$ and Co. Clouds?

Full was the old Version with all Features and not Open Source why Dropbox Functionality included. That’s what me sayed from the Support in the Time in the past.
Is this the same with the new NG Version? Than he was not Open Source too.

And we have no Alternative at the Moment that have True/Veracrypt Functionality.

It would not be in F-Droid if it’s not FOSS.

Pretty please with sugar on top, read its description in F-Droid?

Ah, do you mean the License Key. Sorry, that was only showed on the Website (Cryptomator | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository) not in the F-Droid Client. Yes, that what not mean the Free Software Foundation aka Richard Stallman with Free Software.

Has anyone tested any of these on a Pixel running GrapheneOS rather than AndroidOS? I read that Tella only hosts on a Linux desktop/server - will any of these work on a GrapheneOS phone & a Linux desktop/server? Thanks.

That’s not true…

Graphene is Android, what do you mean?

I see the issue. The F-Droid Client have two Entry’s for the App. One from F-Droid self and one from @Izzy and this have a different Descriptions and more. Maybe anyone can fix/merge this to only one entry with correct Description and Repository Choice.

Happy News!
The Developer from EDS NG planned a Open Source Version. But this needed time. He give no ETA or a Timespane. So we can wait for this and supported him. After release also during development.

GrapheneOS is a modified version of Android.

Some apps don’t function correctly with it - especially if you lock it down, properly.

That’s up to you, each repo can say whatever they want.

F-Droid’s main repo, from f-droid.org, in both Website and Client, says that “a commercial licence key in NEEDed”, hence my jokey comment.

True, then again most Androids are modified anyway, some more, some less. Test and report back…
