Have you ever heard of such app like Phono? It’s described here:

The unique function was to display operator logo in statusbar, useful when using roaming.
Been using it when it was in Google Store many years ago, then developement stopped and Google Play is garbage dump nowadays.
Do you know any up-to-date alternative?

Never seen Android with such function for 12 years or so… That’s why I’ve been using phono years ago.
If rooted, it is an easy way to do it via modified OS or an OS that provides the Logo for SIM networks. One of the ROM I was using around 4 or so years back had that as an experimental feature. But it is very hard to maintain as the code needs constant upkeeping.

But it is from 2015 and hopefully should work normally.
There was also a NetInfo Widget, but I cannot find it in Archive repo as well. You can look it up. I saw it yesterday itself.
I started testing both Phono from 2018 and Roaming Info from 2015.
Of course I had to bypass some Android warnings to install them.
Phono seems to work better, but works only for 1 sim. Roaming info does not display proper carrier logo, and the info is not full: mvno name displayed, but not the mother network operator.
I guess both them need proper maintaining and updating.
Still Phono would be usefull if I change operator to mvno supporting other mother carriers. It’s Virgin mobile in my country.
