why does the opentracks have both reproduceble and non reproduceble builds as two seperate apps in fdroid ? shouldn’t the non reproducible one be booted now that there is a reproducibe build ? also simple sms app is still there and should be not considering fossify has made it obsolete . i know the fdroid mods are volunteers so is there any specific place we should report these kinda issues when we catch them ? or did i get some things wrong ? lmk
that’s up to the developer, also, users that installed the non-repro version should be announced personally to uninstall and install the repro one… can you do that? no? well…
which issue is affecting this app? does it crash? it can’t be installed on Android 14?

you’ve not reported any issue yet but here is fine, also Issues · F-Droid / Data · GitLab

by that logic you should’ve kept the whole suit and not archived them in favor of fossify though yknow the ones that are same if not better ? the apps are like two years old and the dev violated gpl and i think that’s reason enough but what do i know .

fair enough but it could get cluttered and untidy if more keeps following the path

well i guess i thought housekeeping would be an issue for yknow an appstore who’s main shtick is open source and privacy, security yadayada and having gpl violating outdated clones would be one but i guess i was wrong . thanks for replying and your time .
all the apps in the repo are fully FOSS, whatever the dev has done later, that’s their issue. we’ve not built any non-FOSS app (not could we since they’re not public, right?)
none did so far
I’ve answered why not for each one
we are doing a lot of cleaning up as you certainly have seen in our weekly News | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository right? You even use RSS I bet.

i mean we all know fdroids search is not the best and I’m not being negative as it gets the job done for sure but finding things is hard with all the clutter and I’d say its beneficial for you guys too to clean up cause it’d help with lowering hosting cost and built time and all right ? anyway it was only meant to be a suggestion .
