Any reasons not to ship Beeper app in F-Droid?

I note that Beeper is not available in F-Droid yet. Any particular reasons for that? WiP?

It’s not FOSS at all. And for most FOSS apps not available in F-Droid the only reason is that no one adds it.

Yes, that is rather a showstopper. Hmm. I thought I’d found source code before I asked this question. But maybe I just naively assumed that getting bought by Automattic would mean their source code getting publisher under free licenses.
