i know about localsend but as far as i understand if you want to share a file from android to android you have to connect both phone to the same network right ? xendar works differently and better imao you can turn the hotspot on one and connect to it via wifi by the other and viola, if you want you can connect other devices to the phone which is sharing hotspot, there are no limitations and every device can share, receive and decline files freely, it works on PCs too i think . so any app like that in fdroid ?

Did you fully read my post ? or have i been misunderstanding how these apps work…
these work via Wi-Fi, either they connect to the same network or one of them is doing a hotspot
which one did you try already?
localsend, i installed the app and they told me to connect the devices that wants to share file to a LAN network so i just left…
yes, start a hotspot… and join the other device to … this hotspot, right?
There is also

Another option:
Start an FTP server on the phone and connect to it (sharing its folders and files) however you prefer to.
Kind regards and good luck!
