Is there any app on fdroird acting basically as a “private photos and videos” tool?
What i mean by that is to hide selected photos and videos or a whole folder from the system or from the gallery, so when another person has my phone in their hands an opens up the gallery they will never see photos not intended for their eyes. Those photos and videos should only become visible after entering a password within the protection app.
Is there anything like that?

Only thing i didnt fingure out (maybe its in the settings?) to set the storage being an external sd card not internal
It seems not. But: There’s a backup feature in the settings. You can save the backup file anywhere. Also, on some phones (in the system settings) you can move the applications themselves to the SD card. At least I don’t have an SD card and I can’t check.
Lavenderphotos does have such function

Any good File Explorer for Android, inside and outside of F-Droid, should allow you to create a “hidden” folder for whatever you want. And the possibility of creating the “hidden” folder on external memory devices will depend on whether or not Explorer has rooting permissions at its disposal.
