Why does fdroid not have anti-malware or antivirus app? at least i cannot find it

Off the top of my head I can think of a few possible reasons:

  1. There is no such apps that complies with F-Droid’s inclusion policy.
  2. If you only use apps on F-Droid you don’t need it.
  3. Most anti virus apps for Android are closer to malware than functional software themselves.
  4. F-Droid’s catalogue has lots of apps that can protect you much better than AV apps could.
