I am searching for something to open .docx documents. I found Libreoffice viewer on F-Droid, but that hasn’t been updated in 2 years so i guess it isn’t being maintained anymore.
Are there any good alternatives that are more active?

I would also like to know about this, or why the app has not been updated in over 2 years?
I spoke about this in Matrix at one point, but is there something in place to remove applications or check them after X amount of time to make sure applications are kept up to date? This might be up to the developer, but another option might be to flag those as outdated after X amount of time unless updated with a recommendation to not install because of possible security issues.
