If you want to minimize your costs, I’d look into an Rclone frontend for Android (perhaps RCX or Round Sync). Rclone can interact with pretty much any type of cloud storage you throw at it, giving you access to the best prices. I use an S3-compatible provider where the cost of storing a GB of data is quite low.

You did not mention if you want face recognition and hundreds of features.

If you are willing to self host i’d probably say Immich.

If you are not willing to self host i’d probably say Ente.

Personally a Ente user myself and I have been very happy with it. Automatic Backup works fine if you like the ability to do that. Viewing of photos works fine. Has plenty of configuration options including account 2FA.

Really the only provider for photos that I really have not had many frustrations with overall.
