I view computer software through a particularly colored lens. At a young age I was exposed to Richard Stallman’s perspective about the Linux kernel and how Linus Torvalds used his GPL license to build not only a kernel but a global community. Software is a language translation service for helping humans work with devices that speak in ones and zeros. The GPL is the constitution for your compute space, protecting user’s freedoms within that space.
