Why rethink needs permission: to camera and microphone, also * read the contents of your shared storage

Allows the app to read the contents of your shared storage.

Camera:

• To import WireGuard configuration by scanning QR codes.
• A feature that’s missing UI which tracks (& blocks) apps using Camera.

Mic:

• A feature that is missing UI which tracks (& blocks) Mic use by other apps.

External Storage:

• DNS blocklists downloads.
• Backup and restore.
• Exporting app logs.
• PCAP packet capture.

All that said, we probably should remove permissions until we resurrect Mic/Cam “firewall” feature set. And not rely on “External Storage” for backup & restore / packet capture / etc; But External Storage works on Android 6+ as-is, and so, it has been easier to simply rely on it.
