I use signal since it was published her.
Since today I miss the app, it was said it must be upgraded, but there is no signal app in the repo any more.

Signal is never here. Did you install it from a third-party repo?
You are correct saying “is not here”. It is not here anymore.
Sorry to say but it was here since spring 2021, otherwise I would not had installed it. And it worked until yesterday, when it asked me to update.
Now the icon is here, but when starting the app the screen remains empty.
My only repository for my e/os is fdroid.
I’m not sure if it’s ever here. At least it’s not here since 4 years ago. See Signal-Android (#451) · Issues · F-Droid / Requests For Packaging · GitLab and We can include Signal in F-Droid - #4 by TPS. It will never be included unless upstream change their mind.

I’m using “Molly”, a hardened version of “Signal”, installed via F-Droid.
Their website is “molly.im”…

Be sure to use Molly FOSS, not Molly if you actually want it to be fully free of proprietary bits.
