BTW Neo Store does support Exporting installed apps, Import+installing them back (from enabled repositories).

Though it has no advanced configuration to download from specific repository as the exported .aps file includes only package names. Problematic if the app exist in multiple repositories. NS just download the latest version from whatever 1st repository it finds the app. Same issue if the user wants specific versions. Perhaps good idea to report them if you use NS.

Does AppListBackup make backups of the apps themselves, or does it generate a list of apps which you can use to reinstall the apps automatically on another device?

Just list and details + download/installable linkage.
I will suggest developer to correct the description/features.
