Yes, @cdesai and I, along with other Debian Developers, are mentoring 3 quite active students. The first goal is getting Kotlin in. Then that unblocks getting more things in, like sdkmanager, the latest Gradle and Gradle Android Plugin, and more. If you want to build apps with the Debian Android Tools packages, now is a great time to get involved, since we have lots of momentum.
