Questions about Icecat and its addons

#1

Someone on Reddit brought up an interesting question awhile back regarding the transparency of the development of Icecat and it’s add-ons.

I started searching and realized that it is really hard to determine exactly who is maintaining icecat for Android and the add-ons.

In particular, who is maintaining the Searxes’ Third-party request blocker add-on that is included by default in Icecat for Android 60.5.1?

This is the only information I could find:

https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/gnuzilla.git/tree/data/extensions/tprb.addon@searxes.danwin1210.me

And yeah, although I want more information, I think that it should be pointed out that Icecat might raise concerns for its inclusion in f-droid if all add-ons with the app aren’t transparent.

Thoughts? Apologies if this isn’t the best place to post my concerns.
