F-Droid shows some non-existent apps as "Installed"

I’m using the latest version of F-Droid on my rooted Oreo device. When I go to the “Installed Apps” section, I see a number of apps showing as being “installed” that I never installed and do not exist anywhere on my device. These apps do not offer a Download link nor an Uninstall link.

An example of one such app is the “Dir” file browser, and there are many others.

Questions …

  • Are these apps installed somewhere on my device? If so, where are they?
  • If these apps are not actually installed on my device, why do they appear as “Installed Apps”?
  • If these apps are not actually installed on my device, how can I remove them from the “Installed Apps” list?

Thank you very much.

Never mind. I found an older message here which explained that I need to force-close and then wipe F-Droid’s data. After doing that and restarting, my “Installed Apps” is now correct and up to date.
