Aurora Store crisis! Http/Https errors are happening!

I am getting http/https errors when updating applications through Aurora Store, did Google change something in Google Play Store & Google Play Services to cause this? We need to fix this quickly before we lose complete access!

I’m using 4.8.3, the latest known release.

It’s already been reported in the correct place: Getting Error if trying to install "Expected URL scheme 'http' or 'https' but no scheme was found for " (#1512) · Issues · Aurora OSS / AuroraStore · GitLab

A dev has responded in another issue saying “Someone had abused the dispenser and caused most anonymous accounts to get temporarily limited“

And what’s with being so pushy about this? Who is “we”? Are you going to fix it?

Well, I use Aurora Store to update Proton VPN on most of my devices because of the 1 device limit for Free accounts (Honestly, why!?) so I don’t have to deal with paying.

ProtonVPN is on F-Droid: ProtonVPN - Secure and Free VPN | F-Droid - Free and Open Source Android App Repository

Unfortunately that version doesn’t have guest accessibility. For some dumb reason, you’re forced to use an account for that version.

Well, it is resolved currently, but we need to keep a sharp eye on Aurora Store’s Token management to ensure it stays up, if it happens again we can discuss this again with this topic whenever needed.
